1. To provide adequate system load capacity to assure first contingency ability to serve distribution loads across the system.
2. To maintain the existing distribution system reliability through system inspection, replacement of defective infrastructure, verifying operational status of switching equipment and right-of-way maintenance.
3. To maintain protective relaying and system automation in a position that achieves high reliability and minimal interruptions to the customer base.
4. To maintain engineering systems, mapping and facilities management in a proactive mode that positions MPS for improvements to work flow, engineering analysis, demand response and future outage management.
5. To systematically develop new programs utilizing Smart Grid information and capabilities to improve customer service, control wholesale and operational costs, assist customers in cost control, and manage financial risks to company.
6. To secure telecommunications infrastructure to support Smart metering, real time suppport of voltages and load control, and for SCADA system improvements.

1. To provide reliable, abundant and safe water to the MUC service territory in compliance with EPA and TDEC regulations.
2. To provide adequate raw intake for supply to the water treatment plant.
3. To provide adequate water system capacity to assure first contingency ability to serve distribution loads across the system and to utility districts.
4. To assure flow rates and pressures are sufficient to achieve fire protection requirements.
5. To maintain engineering systems, mapping and facilities management to support system planning, and secure telecommunications infrastructure to optimize remote monitoring, controls and meter reading.
6. To provide pump station operational and maintenance services to the City of Morristown Wastewater System.

1. To provide a high-speed broadband fiber optic telecommunications system (FiberNET) that serves the community through competition for progressive video, Internet and voice services.
2. To position FiberNET to deliver a technology infrastructure that is a critical component for providing bandwidth and services that insures business growth and expansion.
3. To assure FiberNET has network-wide access for services to home-based, small and large businesses whereby operating costs are lowered and reliability increased.
4. To provide a robust, secure network that supports utility services in the areas of internal networks, automatic meter reading, remote equipment control, security monitoring and remote online access for key personnel and customers.
5. To provide a superior level of customer service.
6. To become a staple provider for educational, governmental and public services.
